Version 1.0 — 15 February 2023

This privacy policy will give you an overview of how your personal information is being processed by Pascal Maranus Photography.

Personal information

For starters, we will explain what information is being processed, why we do that and what it means for you.

What personal data do we process?

Much of the personal data we store is provided by you — the customer — when you place an order or contact us. For example: when you place an order, you have to provide a name, email address and a physical address. We also collect additional information through data analysis (i.e. related to market research).

What is the information used for?

We process your personal information in accordance with the applying rules for information protection. In particular, we follow the principles of data protection law for the processing of personal data. Therefore, we only process your information for purposes explained in this privacy policy or purposes shared at the time they were collected. This mainly concerns order processing, product development and market research.

How is your information protected?

The protection of your information is of great importance to us. That's why we've taken the technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unwanted access to the best of our abilities.

What rights to data protection (rights of the data subjects) do I have as user?

Respecting your rights is of great importance to us. As a customer, you have the right to revoke the usage of your information at any time in the future. In addition, you have the right to information, the right to correction and removal of your information, the right to limit the processing of your information, the right to data portability, the right to object, as well as the right to appeal to a data protection supervisory authority.

Using cookies on this website

We use cookies on our website. Cookies as small files that can be stored and read on your device. There is a difference between session cookies — that are immediately removed, once you close your browser — and permanent cookies — that are stored after each separate session. Cookies can contain data that make it possible to recognize the used device. However, in some cases cookies only contain information about certain settings that cannot be related to a specific person.

On this website, we use two types of cookies. That being functional and analytical cookies. The difference between the two is explained below.

Functional cookies

Functional cookies are required to make this website usable for a visitor. These cookies remember settings that make your next visit a lot easier. For example, you won't have to fill in the same information. The information in these kinds of cookies are not shared with third parties. Functional cookies are mandatory. Just to give an example: your shopping basket wouldn't work, if it wasn't allowed to remember what items you put in there. And therefore we wouldn't be able to register your order, when you place it.

Analytical cookies

Websites often place analytical cookies to measure how often a website is visited. Based on these statistics, the admin can then see what pages are visited frequently and which ones aren't. This information gives us insight into what parts of the website can be improved for a better user experience. In these kinds of cookies, we don't store any information that can be traced back to an individual person. Your privacy is not invaded. Analytical cookies are always placed.

These are important to us, so we can help determine what products are and aren't being viewed and therefore what our customers are more interested in. With that, we can adjust our offered products to our customers' wishes.
